Single Bets

The double-up strategy is one of the most common strategies for the even money bets offered by roulette but it requires a huge stake, provides little action and big wagers for small returns. While it is possible to apply such a strategy successfully, a better approach may be to chase winning streaks with a single unit roulette betting strategy. Rather than doubling up after a loss, place a wager on an even money bet after it has come up.

As an example, Odd has come up two times in a row so you place a wager on Odd until it loses. It is true that a previous spin of a roulette wheel has absolutely no influence on the results of subsequent spins but you may be surprised at how well this system performs. We have run this system through our simulator with three variations; A single unit bet on all bets, A double unit bet on the first bet with single units on subsequent bets, A triple unit bet as the first bet, a double unit bet as the second bet and a single unit bet for all subsequent bets. The strategy does show a losing percentage but with over a 97% return it is possible to come out in front when combined with a good sign-up and loyalty bonus plan. For instance, you deposit $500 and receive a $500 match bonus. You wager $2000 over 10,000 spins wagering 4 times the bonus amount and with a 97% return your stake has gone from $1000 to $940 for a profit of $440 on your initial deposit.

Now we all know that winning streaks come to an end, so rather than continue betting until a loss occurs we have tried the following variations, starting with placing bets after 2 consecutive results and stopping once 9 consecutive results have been reached. As you can see by the tables provided, there is very little difference with the return.

Trying the same strategy but stopping after 8 consecutive results again shows a return of around 97%. We found that this return was consistent whether stopping at anywhere from 5 consecutive results to not stopping until a loss occurred.

Though it has been shown that the return using this system isn't as good as the return on the double-up system it does have the advantages of being a low stake system and providing plenty of action with bets being available 25% of the time.

Being a low stake system it could be played simultaneously for all even money bets and still remain low stakes while increasing the action. It could also be used to provide the action while waiting for an opportunity to wager on a double-up sequence which has a higher return and should increase your overall return.

Whether used on its own or in combination with other strategies the single unit roulette betting strategy systems will provide winning and losing streaks, but over time when combined with good bonuses you should come out in front.
